If you’d like to connect Google Analytics with your website, you need to find either the Tracking ID if you are using a Universal Analytics property or the Measurement ID if you are using a Google Analytics 4 property. Either of them can be used in order to connect Analytics to your website.
How do I set up a property?

Here you can choose to either create a property that offers the aforementioned Tracking ID using Universal Analytics or you can choose to skip step 3 from the instruction, thus creating a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property that gives you the Measurement ID. GA4 property is currently the default.
Where do I find my Measurement ID? (GA4 property)
- Sign in to your Analytics account
- Click Admin at the bottom left
- Make sure to select the right Account and Property in the respective columns
- Under Property, click Data Streams > Web
- After clicking your website name, you should see the Measurement ID in the top right corner. Copy the Measurement ID by clicking the copy icon

- Sign in to your Analytics account

- Make sure to select the right Account and Property in the respective columns
- Under Property, click Tracking Info > Tracking Code
- Copy the Tracking ID at the top of the page
