Jimdo uses CAPTCHA to help protect your website and account from spam and automated bot attacks. CAPTCHA protection is automatically active for the Withdrawal Form and may also appear when you log in to your Jimdo account. You don't need to activate or configure it yourself.
Withdrawal form
If your website includes a Withdrawal Form, CAPTCHA protection is automatically active in the form. You don't need to activate or configure CAPTCHA yourself.
You can turn the Withdrawal Form itself on or off, but there are no separate CAPTCHA settings. When the Withdrawal Form is active, CAPTCHA helps protect it from automated spam submissions.
Logging in to your account
You may also see a CAPTCHA when logging in to your Jimdo account. This protection is automatically active. You don't need to activate it yourself.
It helps protect your account by making it harder for automated tools to:
- Guess your password through repeated, automated attempts
- Try large lists of leaked email and password combinations from other websites
- Overload our servers with automated login attempts
- Scrape or steal data through mass automated logins
If you're asked to complete a CAPTCHA when logging in, this is expected behavior and a normal part of keeping your account secure.
