How do I adjust shipping costs in my Jimdo store?

Since July 1st, 2021, there are new laws in place regarding VAT e-commerce within the EU. We've thus removed the ability to add VAT/tax rates in the store. As long as you're not making use of the small business scheme, products in your store will appear with the text "including tax". We recommend including any taxes in the prices of your products. Based on your location, you can adjust your shipping costs from your Jimdo store settings.

Adjust Shipping costs

  1. Log in to your Jimdo account and choose the desired website
  2. Click on Store on the very left
  3. Go to Shipping in the new window.

Our store has a system based on regions and not on individual countries. You can offer the following shipping options:

Domestic

  • Local Pickup: allow your customers to collect their items at a specific location within your home country.
  • Domestic Shipping: send orders within your home country.

European Union (EU)

Click on the slider and activate this option to add your shipping settings for all European Union state members.

Europe

Click on the slider and activate this option to add your shipping settings for all countries in Europe.

The world

Click on the slider and activate this option to add your shipping settings for all countries in the world.
Note: if you activate several regions, the shipping price will depend on your buyer’s country. The smaller region will always be applied. For example, if you activate all regions and the buyer lives in the UK, the “Europe” region shipping fees will be added to the cart. However, if the buyer lives in Austria, the “European Union” shipping fees will be applied. 

Please also note that all shipping information will be automatically added to your website’s Delivery Policy page.
