I've forgotten my password
You can create a new password yourself in a few steps.
- Click on the following link to start the reset of your password: Reset password
- Enter the email address you use for your Jimdo account and then click Reset Password. You can also use a verified secondary email address on your account.
- We’ll then send you an email to the email address you entered. Click the link in the email. Please note that the link is valid for 24 hours.
- Enter a new password for your Jimdo account in the new window. Confirm it by clicking on Change password.
- Log back in to your Jimdo account
I didn't get the reset email
The reset email usually arrives within a few minutes. If it doesn't, check the following:
- Check your spam folder. The reset email sometimes ends up there.
- Check the address for typos. The reset link only goes to the exact address you entered.
- Use your login email. Your login email can be different from the address your invoices are sent to.
- Request a new reset link and check your inbox again.
I don't know which email I used
Your Jimdo account may be connected to an address you don't use every day.
- Check your other inboxes. Look in your work, personal and old inboxes, and in your spam folders, for emails from Jimdo.
- Try another email address on your account. Any verified email address on your Jimdo account works with "Forgot password", including a secondary address. The reset link goes to the address you enter.
- For more help finding the right address, see How do I log in?
Tip: Signed up with Google, Facebook or Apple? You don't have a Jimdo password. Use that button on the login page instead.
I can't access my login email
If you can't receive emails at your login address anymore, our support team can help you get back into your account.
-
Contact our support team and send everything in one go:
- your website address
- the full name of the account holder
- one of these documents: ID card, passport, driving licence or voting ID. For a business account, add a business registration document or proof that you can represent the company.
- Once we've verified you, we add the address you're writing from to your account.
- Confirm the new address and reset your password yourself.
Tip: You can black out your photo and ID number. We only need your name and address.
I'm not the owner of the website
If someone else set up the website, for example a former employee or an agency, the website is connected to their Jimdo account, not yours.
- Ask the owner to contact our support team and request the move.
- Our support team then moves the website to your account.
What's next? Once the website has been moved, you'll find it in your own account.
FAQ
My reset link doesn't work. What can I do?
The reset link is valid for 24 hours and works only once. If it has expired or you've already used it, request a new one.
Can the support team reset my password for me?
No. For security reasons, you always reset your password yourself. If you can't access your login email, our support team adds a new address to your account after verifying you. You then reset your password with that address.
