Connect your domain via nameservers (also known as 'DNS forwarding'), to use your domain while maintaining hosting services through an external provider.
To connect your domain, begin by adding it to your Jimdo website. Following this, go to your domain provider to do the nameserver adjustments.
For Squarespace hosted-domains, please use a CNAME forwarding.
1. Add your domain to your website
Before connecting your domain via nameservers, please make sure to add your domain to your Jimdo website first. To do this, follow the steps below:
- Login to your Jimdo account and choose the desired website
- Click on Website Builder > Domains in the left menu
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Forward button
- Enter your domain and click on Next
- Copy the information under nameservers
For more information, have a look at the following help article: How do I forward a domain to my website
2. Changing nameservers
Use the following information to set up the nameservers of your domain at your current domain provider:
ns13.jimdo.com
ns14.jimdo.com
After changing the nameservers, it can take up to 24 hours to fully connect your domain to your Jimdo website.
