Do you want to control when your events can be booked or define a deadline for cancellations? With Bookings at Jimdo, you can manage booking and cancellation limits easily. Depending on your Bookings version, you either set these limits globally in the settings or directly when creating each individual event.
Modify booking deadlines
Booking deadlines define when customers can start booking and when bookings close. The way you configure these deadlines depends on your Bookings version.
In the old Bookings version, booking and cancellation limits are managed centrally in the settings.
In the new Bookings version, you define booking deadlines, cancellation rules, and other limits directly when creating each event. This gives you the flexibility to set individual rules and deadlines for every event, without relying on global settings.
Add or edit opening and closing deadlines
Use opening and closing deadlines to control when customers can book an event. These deadlines define the booking time window.
Follow these steps if you are using the old Bookings version:
- Log in to your Jimdo account and select the desired website.
- Open Bookings from the menu and go to Settings.
- Click Bookings and cancellation limits.
- Open Choose when to open and close online bookings before the appointment time.
- Define when online bookings open and close.
- Enter a value directly or use the plus and minus icons.
- Choose between hours, days, or weeks.
- Click Confirm to save the changes.
In the new Bookings version, opening and closing deadlines are set directly when creating or editing an event. This allows you to define different booking windows for each event.
Add or edit a cancellation deadline
Cancellation deadlines define how long before an event customers can cancel a booking.
Follow these steps if you are using the old Bookings version:
- Open Bookings and go to Settings.
- Select Add a deadline for online cancellations.
- Enter a value directly or use the plus and minus icons.
- Choose between hours, days, or weeks.
- Click Confirm to save the changes.
In the new Bookings version, cancellation deadlines are defined individually for each event during creation. This makes it possible to apply different cancellation rules depending on the event.
