If your booking availability hours look different than expected or you received an email about a change, this article explains why this happened, what Jimdo corrected, and what you may need to check. Your existing bookings were not affected, and your availability is now stable going forward.
What happened: daylight saving time and availability drift
Jimdo Bookings previously stored opening hours without accounting for daylight saving time (DST). When the clocks changed in late March 2026, availability hours for some accounts shifted by one hour automatically.
For example, if your availability was set to 9 am – 6 pm, it may have appeared to customers as 10 am – 7 pm after the clock change.
This only affected how availability was displayed. Confirmed bookings were not impacted.
Note: Not all accounts were affected. The issue only occurred for a specific group of accounts where availability data was stored in a way that made it sensitive to the March clock change.
What Jimdo did: the June 2026 automatic correction
To fix this issue, Jimdo applied an automatic correction to all affected accounts around June 16, 2026.
This correction shifted availability hours back by one hour, restoring them to the original times you had set. No action was required from you.
Going forward, Jimdo Bookings now fully supports daylight saving time. Your availability hours will remain accurate throughout the year, including after future clock changes.
Important: Your existing confirmed bookings were not affected at any point. All appointments remain at their originally scheduled times.
How to check your availability hours
After the correction, it is recommended to quickly review your availability:
- Log in to your Jimdo dashboard
- Go to Bookings
- Open Events
- Click any event tagged Open slot
- Review the availability hours
- If everything looks correct: no action is needed
- If adjustments are needed: click Edit, update the hours, and click Save
Note: You do not need to change anything else. Editing and saving the event is sufficient.
Will this affect future clock changes?
No. The June 2026 correction resolved the root cause of the issue.
Jimdo Bookings now handles daylight saving time correctly for all users, including future clock changes in both autumn and spring.
You do not need to manually adjust your availability hours.
