You can change your billing term between monthly, yearly, or every 2 years directly in your Jimdo account. The change will only take effect at your next renewal, so your current billing term continues unchanged until then.
Before you start
Make sure the following applies:
- You have an active paid Jimdo Website Builder subscription
- The billing term change feature is available in your country
- It is currently available in Germany + Austria and gradually rolling out to other countries
- You do not have another scheduled change on your account
- For example, a pending cancellation or another change
If you meet all the above requirements but still cannot access the option, contact support for assistance.
How to change your billing term
Follow these steps:
- Go to Plan & Billing in your Jimdo dashboard
- Click Change billing term
- On the Select new term screen, review the available options
- Your current term is marked as (Current) and cannot be selected
- Select your preferred billing term
- Review the price breakdown:
- Plan
- Add-ons
- Total
- Click Confirm change
After confirming, your new billing term and price will be displayed under Next payment term in your Plan & Billing page.

The price shown during the change is an estimate.
It is based on current pricing and may differ from your final renewal price.
The binding price is the one shown in your renewal reminder, which is sent about 6 weeks before your renewal date.

When does the new billing term take effect?
The new billing term takes effect at your next renewal. Your current term remains active until then.
Will my discount carry over to the new term?
No. Discounts do not carry over when you change your billing term, as the change is treated as a new subscription.
Why is the price shown different from what I’ll actually pay?
The displayed price is an estimate based on current pricing.
The final and binding price is confirmed in your renewal reminder email, sent around 6 weeks before renewal.
I see an error when I try to change my billing term. What should I do?
If you already have a scheduled change (such as a cancellation or add-on change), the billing term cannot be updated automatically.
Please contact support so the change can be handled for you.
Is the billing term change available in my country?
This feature is currently available in Austria and is being rolled out to other countries.
If you do not see Change billing term in your Plan & Billing page, it is not yet available in your region.
