Your business profile stores key business details like name, address, and contact info. It is now shared with invoicing and Payments settings, so updating your details in one place keeps them consistent everywhere.

Editing your business profile
Your business profile is where you store all the important information regarding your business like name, address and phone number. Furthermore, you can also add your Tax ID Number and your email address here. The email address that you enter is used for all your important shop notifications like order confirmations.
Note: Your business profile is now shared with your invoicing and Payment settings. Updating your details here — or in your invoicing settings — keeps them consistent everywhere. See "Keeping your details in sync" below.
Steps
- Log in to your Jimdo account and choose the desired website
- Click on Payments on the very left
- Then, choose Settings > Financial details
- Fill out your details
- When you're done, click Save Changes
Keeping your details in sync
Your business name, Tax/VAT ID, currency, address, email, and phone number are shared between your store and your invoicing/Payment settings. Update them in either place, and the change applies everywhere within a few seconds.
A complete address (street, city, postal code, and country) syncs automatically. A partial address stays in your store but won't appear on invoices or in Payments until it's complete.
Clearing your Tax/VAT ID works from either your store or your invoicing settings, and applies everywhere.
Your business name can be changed from anywhere, but it can't be left empty from your store's business profile.
Fields like business description, target audience, or business category are not part of this sync and only apply within your store.
If you notice details changed on their own
As we connect existing stores to this shared profile, you may briefly see a one-time update to your business details without having changed anything yourself:
- If you've already issued invoices through Payments, your store's details were aligned to match your invoicing profile.
- If you haven't issued invoices yet, your store's existing details became the shared version used everywhere — this is most noticeable with your business name.
This is expected as part of a one-time transition, not an error. If any detail is outdated afterwards, simply update it in either place.
Important: If your details still don't match between your store and your invoices/Payments after re-saving and waiting a minute, please contact support.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why did my invoice name or address change?
Business details are now shared between your store and your invoicing settings — updating them in one place updates them everywhere they're used. This keeps everything consistent.
Why did my store address change by itself?
If you've already issued real invoices, your store was updated once to match the details on those invoices. If anything is outdated, you can correct it in either place — your store's business profile or your invoicing settings — and it will update everywhere.
I updated my details — why don't I see the change yet?
Syncing is usually a matter of seconds. Give it a moment and refresh. If it still hasn't updated after about a minute, open your business profile, confirm the value, and save again.
Can I remove my VAT/Tax ID entirely?
Yes. Clearing it in your store's business profile removes it everywhere, and clearing it in your invoicing settings removes it from your store too.
Can I remove my business name?
You can change it everywhere, but it can't be left empty from the store's business profile.
Will my business description or target audience show in my store?
No. Those fields aren't part of this shared profile and won't sync to your store.
