If you’ve recently purchased a Jimdo plan, you may have the right to withdraw from your contract within 14 days. This guide explains who is eligible, how the withdrawal works, and how to submit your request.
Eligibility for the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal is available to consumers only, and only in countries where a statutory right of withdrawal exists.
This means:
- You must be using Jimdo for personal purposes only
- You must not use your website for business or commercial activities
- Your billing country must provide a legal right of withdrawal, e.g. countries in the European Union.
If you are signed up as a Business user (for example as an entrepreneur, self employed, or using your site for commercial purposes), the right of withdrawal does not apply.
Jimdo checks your eligibility based on your account type, what you offer on your website and your billing country. If you are not eligible, you will not see the withdrawal option.
Your right of withdrawal
The 14 day withdrawal period begins from the date of purchase.

Refund after withdrawal
If you have already made a payment and your withdrawal is successful, you will receive a refund.
- The refund is issued using the same payment method as the original transaction
- Once we receive your withdrawal request, your refund will be processed within 14 days
How to withdraw your subscription
You can withdraw your subscription within the 14 day withdrawal period. Your withdrawal does not need to follow a specific format.
You can submit your withdrawal in any form, for example:
- Through your Jimdo account
- By message or email
- By post
A simple statement such as “I would like to withdraw my contract” is sufficient and will be accepted as a valid withdrawal.
