If your domain contains special characters (e.g., caféonline.com or niño-shop.es), you need to use the Punycode version of your domain in Google Analytics.
Punycode is an encoded representation of domains with special characters that browsers and web services can recognize. For example:
- caféonline.com becomes xn--cafonline-9za.com
- niño-shop.es becomes xn--nios-shop-5za.es
Help:
Visit the Wikipedia page about Punycode, where you can find useful converters under the Weblinks section to transform your domain into Punycode. This ensures that your domain is correctly recognized in Google Analytics.
