If you’re having issues with third-party email accounts, the following tips and steps will help you troubleshoot.
1) Important note for Google Workspace & Microsoft 365
If you use Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, do not connect your account manually via MX-Records. Instead, follow our dedicated guides:
2) Fix it: Two steps for email delivery
If you’re not using Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 and emails don’t arrive, land in spam, or bounce, please check the following:
- Check MX-Records: Make sure the correct MX-Records from your email provider are set (you’ll get these MX-Records directly from your email provider).

Follow additional provider requirements:
Check whether your provider also requires other DNS entries
(e.g.,
TXT,SPF). You’ll get the exact values from your email provider.
For linking email accounts (except Google Workspace and Microsoft 365), Jimdo supports setup via MX-Records only.
TXT or SPF,
linking with a domain managed at Jimdo is not possible.
Recommended alternative: Transfer your domain to an external domain provider. There you’ll have full access to DNS settings and can add all required records. Afterwards, connect your domain back to your Jimdo Website via CNAME redirect. To move the domain, you’ll need the Authcode (AuthInfo). You can request it in your Jimdo account: Request Authcode
