With payment links and QR codes, your customers can pay invoices online or via bank transfer. You can enable or disable this option per invoice, making payments faster and more flexible.
What is the payment link and QR code feature
This feature adds flexible payment options to your invoices. Your customers can:
- Click the Pay now button in the invoice email
- Scan the QR code on the PDF invoice
Both options usually lead to a checkout page where the payment can be completed.
In some regions, the QR code also supports bank transfers. Customers can choose between online payment or bank transfer depending on availability.
What happens when you use this feature
When you enable online payments and send an invoice:
- A Pay now button is added to the email
- A QR code is included on the PDF invoice
Your customers can pay online or use the QR code for bank transfer if supported.
Requirements
- A paid Jimdo plan
- Invoicing enabled
- A connected Stripe account
Online payments and payment links only work with Stripe. Without Stripe, this feature is not available.
How to enable online payments
- Go to Payments in your dashboard
- Create a new invoice
- Fill in the details
- Enable Online payments
- Send the invoice
You can enable or disable this option for each invoice individually.
How sending invoices works
- Go to Payments → Invoices
- Create or open an invoice
- Finalize and send it
Your customer receives:
- An email with a payment button
- A PDF invoice with QR code
After the payment
For online payments:
- The invoice status updates automatically
- You receive a notification
For bank transfers:
- You may need to confirm the payment manually
- You must mark the invoice as paid

QR codes are useful when invoices are shared as PDF, printed, or handed over.
